SVS is a founding member and sponsor of Sarasota.Tech, the grassroots community connecting coders, founders, and tech talent on Florida’s Suncoast. We back its mission of “connecting Sarasota’s tech community and driving the city forward” with funding, mentors, and event support.

Our founders are active members of Bridge Angel Investors, a network of accredited investors in Sarasota–Manatee that funds and mentors early-stage companies across Florida. That relationship gives Studio-born ventures a fast lane to pitch a respected local angel group and helps keep early capital circulating in the region.

Through the 26 West Center’s GrowBiz incubator at State College of Florida, entrepreneurs receive access to PlanFoundry—SVS’s venture-planning platform—plus on-call guidance from our product and go-to-market teams. Together we help founders across Sarasota–Manatee turn early concepts into fundable companies.

SVS partners with USF’s Technology Transfer Office to scout promising patents, assemble commercial teams, and turn university breakthroughs into Suncoast-based startups—bridging academic research with real-world market impact. USF’s TTO helps researchers with patents, licensing and funding, executing 100+ licenses annually in recent years.

SVS partners with Ringling College Art and Design to provide students with real-world business experience, helping bridge the gap between artistic talent and entrepreneurial ventures to shape tomorrow’s creative enterprises.
From growing the ocean enterprise to finding a cure for childhood diabetes, researchers in the St. Pete Innovation District tackle tough questions alongside colleagues in a regional marine research hub, two hospitals, a university, a world-renowned media school, a business incubator and several other public and private research organizations.
New College is an essential university partner. Its Data Science programs (undergraduate AOC and a master’s in Applied Data Science) provide a pipeline of talent and research: students collaborate on live projects, join us as venture-planning interns, and the campus regularly hosts meetings of our Investment Advisory Board.
